Childhood memories
Everyone has that one place they remember when they grew up. This was mine. It's called la sopresa supermarket. I remember walking with my younger brother to buy warm oven baked cuban bread, candy, and some trading cards. Too bad for my parents half the loaf was gone by the time we got back. I urge everyone to go ahead and visit that one place that brings back good memories of their childhood.

Flash-backwards
When I was younger than 5 everything is a blur. Every now and then I get a glimpse of a bull, a dead chick (bird-kind), and an open stable door with the sounds wolves singing into the night. But that is all, nothing more. This is followed by the ages of between 6 to 10 years old. This area embodies mostly my imagination; sweet, pure, and mischievous. I remember being always quiet when I was around people or by myself. I would always pay good attention to almost every detail in the house scrutinizing each object with the upmost detail and professionalism of a detective. I remember loving to play with my toys alone or with my brother; either way I always had a blast. Playing with my brother was an adventure, there was no spot in the house that wasn’t diligently inspected, messed around with, or broken. Every question that had an answer I found amazing and every question that wasn’t answered I enjoyed its mystery. To think of these times always makes me stop and remember to let your imagination go and be free. Without it we are just as restrained as a bird in a cage. Just like the bird, we all have this great wonder inside all of us and the longer we stay trapped the longer we won’t be able to enjoy that wonder. This is the simplicity, the laughter, the warmth, the curiosity, and the amazement of the human spirit at its core.

A World Apart
I guess there really is such a thing as a early Midlife Crisis.....except I'm determined to make it one that will be unselfish. Time to get off that horse and walk for a change. I may be right or just completely wrong, but morally I don't think that devoting the rest of my life to bringing joy and relinquishing pain to at least one person a day is ever going to be a bad decision. Male Nurses rock.
